Walter Logeman Art Project 2006-7
I went to Te Papa and had a look at the national gallery, Art of the Nation. There are a few favourites there. Worked on the blog for a bit in the café, and sketched what was in front of my face, John Britten’s bike in front of the Art of the Nation sign.
Walked under a bridge on my way to Brooklyn Bridge, not sure what it is called now, worked on this in New York but just finished it off here. Whatever finished is.
Imagine big.
As I did these I had big canvases in mind, at least 1 meter square. So the image on the screen does not do justice to my vision. The printing might! I also imagined a triptych some how… with that in mind I have some triptychs coming up.
A while back, when I did my last big post up, I commented that one of the Red Light images, which I thought was simple at the time, could be tighened up. The next four were done following that idea.
