Collography

(Inspiration – not my work)

Belinda Del Pesco Fine Art Blog: Collograph & Watercolor: Couch Napping

An attractive result.  Inspiring.  I would love to mess with that one day… one day! For now it is inspiring to think of how an outline can be printed & coloured in – which is essentially what I have been doing in quite a few of my later sketches, those pedestrians and also Eli in the last post.

I’d like to explore different colouring of the same frames more – as I did in the  Chalice group.

Another possibility would be washes… as a lot of pen & watercolour artists do such as  Prash  or felt washes.

Yes I find this quietly inspiring – the depth of this picture & Belinda’s post describing the process.

Eli & Kate

#165 Kate & Eli

I am intrigued by this one. I began it at the same time as I did the early sketch #5 Eli, This one seemed too obscure at that time, but something is happening to what I see… I have more tech options and like this effect here. I think it has the feel of the walk at Mt. Lyford.

In case you are wondering… Kate had her hands tucked into her sleeves in the chill. I tried hands but prefer this version.

Blue Candle

#0161 Blue Candle

Blue candle in the bathroom. I watched this candle while relaxing in the bath, saw the light on the dark & had it sketched in my mind before I drew it.

I used the “pastels” button a lot and they work on the “black paper” background.

Now I want to do more candles and somehow clinch the deal, so that I can do them at will.

Red Apple

#160 Red Apple

Following on from the Pink Donut. Thought I’d better have some healthy food here.
