I am doing a project, and watching where it leads. One inspiriration as to listen to David Lynch talk about his Inland Empire
IMDB in a podcast from Salon.
He made a movie where there was no script, but where followed… something… a vibe, years earlier he was already referred to as a human tuning fork, and that is a bit, again, like Pollock’s “I am nature.” I have no idea what the movie would be like, probably not much fun, maybe it is art. The conversation is great though and worth a listen. He relates his film making to painting.

One of the things a project brings is a frame, a crucible, a container to work within. As open as it is to have no script, it is also quite closed to make a film, or to paint 365 sketches of a mountain, or to do 1000 digital images. It is about commitment as well, somehow to keep going: “To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.” Pulling out is always an option… could I stop now at #0970? Done but not posted as yet) No way.
But I have no idea what #0971 will be. No idea.
There is something about facing that emptiness, it is not really pleasant. Especially now it is well into spring and I am seeing things I saw last year, I am returning to them too. Maybe that is the thread to follow, to return. There is the incantaion coming up on that theme. Maybe that is next?
